Welcome to the site Larry.  I don't have any personal experience with a Sea Hunt but an aquantance had one and he has nothing but good to say about it.  Just make sure you take it for a demo and see that it does everything that you want it to do.

Good luck on your purchase, whatever it may be.   t^

Big Larry,

Not only do I talk to you at Pell's, we have fished on my boat for fluke.

We need to get out soon!

I will talk to you soon ... I will ask my mechanic buddies what they think of the hull. I think it is the right size for the area but I have not been around them often.

What type Yamaha (2 stroke or 4 stroke - if 2 stroke is it an HPDI). BTW, you are covered if you go Yamaha. Lots of connections there that I will share with you.

Great to hear from you ... we will talk in person soon!

Best wishes always,

Ed

PS - Now can you get Larry and Robert to join? Remind them next time you see them (LOL).

hm,
I looked at the Sea Hunt last year along with Scout and Sailfish.  All 3 seemed like good value for the money but I ultimately chose the Sailfish and I like it more everytime I take it out.  I did not like the overall finish on the seahunt compared to the sailfish or scout.  I am not sure how far you are into the process but I would reccomend looking at the Sailfish (Garden State Yachts in Pt Pleasant) and also the scout (just down the road in Pt Pleasant) as well this way you can get good comparison of the 3 similiar lines of boats for yourself.

Hi Larry,

A buddy who is also looking at one told me today, "In my opinion Sea Hunt builds a solid mid-tier boat and has gained a reputation as a manufacturer that stands behind their product."

There appears to be a good owner's group at:

http://seahuntownersgroup.yuku.com/bseahuntownersgroup

They look sweet. Did you find out the engine type?

When are we going fishing (LOL)?

Best wishes,

Ed
