It was another banner day to be out togging yesterday. The weather was a little chilly in the am but warmed up nicely as the day progressed.
Our first drop was stellar to say the least. Out of the 18 fares on-board over 1/2 landed their limits +. Phil from Rockaway N.J. was high hook with 13 keepers plus shorts. Bob Stemmler from Clifton N.J. won the pool with a 5-6lb tog and also landed 10 keepers plus many shorts. Tog tally 103.
I made the last drop of the day out in the deep and the ling were hungry. The only problem was there was no wind or tide to hold the boat over the drop. A few of the guys manged to bag a few nice slurpees to top their coolers already full of tog.
