Paule aka pawle Rick and myself plus 3 non NJsalt members got our shot today on the blackfish grounds aboard the Monger....Jerry worked hard and made multiple drops, moves and wiggles to get us on the fish...had a super scratchy bite today with fish pretty much every where we went but you had to be patient and work hard for them...whites were the ticket today...

Paule keep his hot hand today decking his limit + with a nice 8lber going in the box...Rick held his own boxing up some nice fish and had at least 7-8 fish just under the 14" mark...I had a so so day putting maybe 3 or 4 keeps in the box with my fair share of shorts as well...

Was an absolutely gorgeous day on the water for December...glassy calm with barely a breeze and warm enough by noon to start shedding layers.

Great day as is the norm with Jerry working hard all day the Monger way to get us on the fish... By days end we boxed up 38 keeps to 8 pounds...Fun day t^

Welcome to the Monger crew Rick t^

Test alert by Verizon leads to confusion in NJ
Dec. 12, 2011, 6:51 p.m. EST
AP

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — It was not quite the "War Of The Worlds" broadcast of a Martian invasion in New Jersey.

Still a Verizon "emergency" alert that the company texted Monday to its wireless customers in three New Jersey counties jangled some nerves and triggered hundreds of calls from concerned residents to local and state offices.

The company warned of a "civil emergency" and told people to "take shelter now." Trouble was, the message was a test but it wasn't labeled as such. Verizon later apologized.

In 1938, Orson Welles' "War Of The Worlds" radio broadcast of a fake Martian invasion in Grovers Mill, N.J., touched off a panic among those who believed they were hearing a real emergency announcement.
