2/27/12 round valley lakers

heard the winds laid down a bit so i called my friend pat and headed to the valley for some trout fishing.started off for some browns and rainbows.after 1 1/2 hrs and no hits we changed plans to hit the lakers.started off slow,but picked up to a nice pick of 18-21in lakers.we fished wire draging spoons on the bottom of 70-80ft.ended the day with two man limit.nice day on the water.

FYI...they actually changed the limits at raritan valley (haven't changed the sign yet).  For the lake trout you can have six keepers in the greater than 15 less than 24 range and one keeper greater than/equal to 24. forget the catch and release season only...its like sept 15 to nov 1st but don't hold me to it.
It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.
