If you go to the s. rocks try by the outside can.  You can also try about a mile east of the outer can which is an area that is called the rattlesnake. Just watch your fish finder and you will see the hills and structure which will have the fish. You can also try the Mud buoy area which will hold both fluke and sea bass.

I am sure the great minds on here will give you some more info as the day goes on. TT^

This is N.J. the only way to get away from all of the other boats is to fish during the week.

With that being said, it's a good incentive to learn more fishing spots. I, as well as alot of others will not post up our prime locations openly on the web, for they will be a parking lot next time we visit them. fcp

It's great that you want to try new areas, so I would recommend a copy of Nick Honachefsky's book " The New Jersey Boat Fisherman" as well as this link to the Free New Jersey Reef Guide.http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/pdf/reefs/reef_guide.pdf

I'm sure with these resources, you will be able to find some productive spots for yourself. Good Luck.  t^
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><

Try Scotland Grounds, it's pretty much the end of Sandy Hook Channel. Great seabass and fluke fishing there.  t^
