Hi Piccler FM,

I believe that a Small Craft Advisory is up for the inshore waters and a gale warning offshore until the afternoon.

I always believe you must check the conditions for yourself near the location you will be fishing. I am lucky that I live on the bay and am a few miles from the ocean beaches to sneek a peek before we leave the dock.

Right now, the wind is light. I would watch that closely.

In my opinion, if you intended to go out in the morning, there is a high probability it will be blown out. Even though it is a NW wind, the inlets will be rough. 30 Knot wind is significant. At the Manasquan Inlet, there will be an incoming (flooding tide) in the morning and it gets really chopped up on an incoming and NW wind.

Add the small children to the equation, and you may want to fish inside a river/bay until it cleans up later in the day.

Sunday looks better to me right now ...

Hi Piccler FM,

The wind has picked up from the S/SE a lot. A severe storm cell just passed through my area (Toms River).

All reports I am reading do not have the wind subsiding until late tomorrow afternoon. Seas already are 4-5 ft. at the bouys I monitor (but the period is 8 secs.).

If you plan on fishing a river/some bays, so should be ok (although all this runoff will dirty the water).

I like Sunday better ...

Be safe!

Went down to the boat this morning to do some small work and clean her and my neighboring boat said there was atleast 8 foot swells out there. Glad I didn't go out, tomorrow sounds beautiful!
