As far as the Fluk-a-thon. It is a friendly non-formal tournament among friends here. No Capt meeting, no shotgun start, etc. Just a bunch of guys who like to fluke fish. You sign up and pay a minimal entry fee, fish where you want, take a pic of your catch, weigh it in at a local B&T approved by our 'committee' and submit your weights. Highest weight from X amount of fish wins. All the money collected for entry fees goes back out. It would be great if you can join in.
