re: the trophy: aside from size, what were your likes/dislikes??

Im looking at trophys myself as possible first boat.

hows the marina you are in? i'll be 'shopping' that same area for potential slip or rack.

my dislikes on the trophy.... i cant say i had any but then again my boat was one of the oddball years and my hull was actually a robalo hull.... i have heard many complaints on trophy hulls

it looks like she sits real high off the water.. Can I assume your rails, when standing in the boat are up to the average persons thigh.  That is great for rough water, your legs don't take a beating.

SeaRay made some sweet models and the Amberjack was one of them. 86 was the last real SeaRay. It was sold to Brunswick at the end of 86, and you could see the differences in the 87's. These boats ride like tanks and can blast through a chop with a smooth ride.

a year later i dug up a pic of the inside lol please ignore the mess i was playing around with storage lol to the right is the bathroom/shower and to the left is the kitchenette. im 6' and i have 4 inches of headroom above me i love it

Thats the way to go, Soda blast. I did mine the old way with scraping and sanding, never again, Prob took 3 years off my life. :P
