la. inshore and offshore charters

hello everyone, just got back from matlacha,fl. great snook fishing at night.caught more from shore than with 3-guides trips go figure.any way want to try some reds in la. does anyone know whats up with the guides down there? i have a small 6-pack deal in nj. i fished all over our usa but their rates are very high,plus you have to pay for oil, gas,bait,ice,fish cleaning on top of their rates? is this normal in la.?  megabait
