Roosters Flukin 8-19
« on: August 19, 2007, 06:27:33 PM »
Sandy Hook Channel was our choice this morning. Tom and I stayed near #7 fishing in 35' to 55' of water. That area gave up five keeper Fluke along with many shorts, a ton of Sea Robins and one Skate. The biggest Fluke taped out at 18". Out to the East we could see a large fleet of party and private boats that stayed there all morning, no crowds for us. Back at Atlantic Highlands Harbor the CO's were busy checking fish, I wish they could look for the bait thieves who have been working everyone over at the slips stealing Killies and sometimes traps. I may be very glad to be on Pier 8, I haven't seen any CO's this year yet on my dock.  I have also been victim of the bait stealers.
Fish out of Toms River NJ.
Call Nick for open boat, 973-417-5756, or on Channel 68.
