Saturday Striper Charter-Slow but steady!
« on: April 15, 2012, 07:12:13 AM »
Fished with Tom Tanacredi and John Lucciola for a morning of Striped Bass fishing in Raritan Bay.

Once again, we reverted to what was successful yesterday afternoon and started to troll Stretch 25's in basically the same area, but this morning it was a much slower bite.

Had to wait out a change of tide before the Bass turned on again. Although there was much more boat traffic than yesterday in this area, we still managed to show Tom and John a two man limit of Stripers and do catch and release bass to end our day.

When the trolling bite died in this area, we decided to try clamming which raised shorts that we returned to fight another day.

Tom and John are avid fisherman with an arsenal of top notch rods and reels to tackle just about any situation. Thanks for a great morning on the water guys.

Tight Lines,
Capt. John

 t^ Thanks for the report
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
