Hey everyone. I found this site by a friend and fisherman, SurfJockey. Looking forward to being on this site!
A Little about me - I am 27 years old and my family has had a house in BHW for over 40 years. I have spent all my summers down at the shore and I LOVE to hunt/fish.
Started off at a young age fishing my lagoon for eels and snappers and occasionally the bay on a boat for fluke.
Over the years I got more and more interested in Big Stripers. So I started fishing the surf hard with my father. Took me three years and a lot of dedication but my senior year in high school I finally landed my first pig. From that day on I was HOOKED!
This year is my first year with my own boat ( 20FT Grady White Over-Nighter ). My boat has been in the water for 5 weeks have been heading out of Barnegat Inlet, North for the stripers on Sundays. First trip out we did great. 3 nice keepers on 3 oz metal.
Fished yesterday. Rough Day. Was Live-lining bunkers north of Barnegat for a nice bass but the blues were chewing up the baits. Switched to Metal and they had no interest. We were in about 45-60 feet of water.
Well see what happens next weekend! Could use a mothers day blessing!
