Raritan Bay 5/2
« on: May 02, 2012, 02:29:46 PM »
Launched in Keyport and started to work Matawan Crek for bait .First toss we got one adult bunker and a blue a little bit bigger .Second toss ,it took us both to pull it in .Headed across to the Round Shoal area .It was super snotty ,wind against the tide .Once set up it was fish on right away .Unfortunately they were blues . :P Caught tons of them and then finally did manage to put a good bass in the boat .Started to rain heavy ,so we headed in .None the less ,a fun time on the water .

Thanks for the report, Al and I might try this evening if the rain lets up a bit

Good trip. Plenty of bait, blue fish pulling the line and a striper to boot.  t^

I went to my boat, checked conditions and elected to stay at the dock. Another boat went out, cleared the inlet and came right back in. This wind sucks.  :P
