Raritan Bay
« on: May 04, 2012, 03:20:34 PM »
First time post here. I fish out of Keyport.

Got out this morning with two friends from PA.  Made the run up to Great Kills for some bunker.   Once toss on the new cast net and we were set.  Surprised myself since it was the first time on the water with it.

We ran down off the reach not far from Great Kills pile and setup for the outgoing.

Had constant action the whole time.   Ended up with 2 bass and a ton of bluefish.  Bass were 34 and 36.  Blues were all over the board.  A few cocktails and a few gorillas.

I knew from the reports, but was surprised that so many blues were in already.

Both bass were taken on heads.

tight lines
