After the nice morning bite we had yesterday, thought today would be a Home Run. That is, until we had wind against once again.
Who-ever made the statement "When the wind is West, the fish bite the best" had to be smoking crack and not looking at the compass!
West wind with an incoming tide doesn't matter where you fish...The Bay, Out East, down the beach (as we tried them all today.)
Picked a couple very nice keepers but not much more to mention than that. All those Bluefish we had last week seemed to have disappeared for the time being.
Loads of Bunker moving up the beach into the bay and the bass we do catch are still loaded with row. Patience will be rewarded once again so hang in there and keep fishing, May is an excellent month for Striped bass catching.
Afternoon Fluke trips start this weekend 3:30pm till 9:00pm.
