Late report, just figured I'd post. Had my buddies up from PA. We fished Thursday night, all day Friday and Saturday morning. Ended up with 5 bass and countless bluefish between the 3 days. We fished primarily off the Jersey side of the reach. We tried 11A on Saturday to try to escape the bluefish but no luck. We probably hooked 60 bluefish on Saturday alone. Bunker everywhere in the bay.
Fished heads only and still caught bluefish. We had a great time. Just wish the bass would have cooperated a little more. Not sure when I'll get out again, next time might be a fluking trip unless the bassin picks up.
