Reel McCoy II Raritan Bay Sunday 5/20
« on: May 20, 2012, 06:02:42 PM »
Had my daughter out for a few hours this morning hoping to get her a striper.  Had some clams left over from yesterday's trip and a small bucket of bellies and set up on the flats off Port Monmouth. Had a flurry of blues at the turn and another about 2 hours into the outgoing.  Maggie landed three blues from 6 to 12 lbs and I managed to get 2 in the boat.  Kept 2 for dinner and released the rest.
Had a great day on the water with my daughter, even if she outfished me.

 t^ Good job Dan
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Although my daughter looks very young in that picture (she is actually 22), she has been fishing with me for years and holds my boats Weakfish record with a 12lb fish caught in the Reach about 10 years ago.  She is home from college now and has time to fish with me again, at least until she finds a job  ;D
