BI area 5/27 evening
« on: May 28, 2012, 04:13:53 PM »
tried for an evening trip sine i was getting skunked early.

weather wasn't to bad, but bad enough. surface was all slopped up off ibsp. marked some bait, but again it was all deep.

figured i would drift for some fluke off the old coast guard station and see what the bunker where gonna do for a bit, wrong answer. 10oz in 25' of water would not hold. breeze was outta the south and blowing 17knots or better.

went inside and tried for some flatties. south side of the inlet was weeded up, and no bites in 3 drifts.

back side of the cut was even weedier, if thats a word.

gave it up and headed back in. skunked yet again.

only thing i managed to do last night was hit a hunk of 2x4 and tear the prop up pretty good. somehow i actually either heard it or felt it,,, turned back to see about a 1' hunk of 2x4 get launched into the air,,,,, good old faithful (steel prop) got reinstalled. the 2x4 one is still good enough for an emergency back up, so under the seat in the cabin it went.
