Ocean city trip July 18th help

Hello everyone my names Mike im from perkasie PA. I am very into freshwater bass fishing as well as trout, catfish, pike etc. But ive always wanted to get into saltwater fishing. Im staying at my girlfriends beach house in OC for a week from july 18th.   First off im looking for the best places to learn all about frestwater fishing. (from shore). and any tipsa are appreciated!! also should i focus on the bay or is there good surf fishing here?? any goos piers or jettys or other good spots to start?? any help is great!! thanks

I've never fished the area but if fishing the surf fluke should be the target species around that time. On fishing the bay, bring the freshwater gear fish small baits to catch a variety of species by fishing around channels.

tackle shops should hopefully give you a good idea of whats biting.

Try Corsons inlet state park always a good fluke spot but you have to get there early like sunrise before the jet skiers . Also go to any local bait shop they are up on whats biting good luck.

I suggest you and your girlfriend go on a 4 hr. party boat that's fishing for fluke. They have rods you can rent cheaply, free bait, the mate's are happy to show you how to do it and they'll filet you catch for you.
WARNING! You may give up fresh water for salt! It's a lot of fun  .
