Well I got a call from from Lt.Willy about 9 AM to see if I wanted to try some fluke and crabs in the RB. We decided to hit the incoming tide and see what happens. Met Wiily at his house and off we went. Launched the "Fish Tails" and made our first stop--dropped 2 crab traps loaded with bait. With some great intell from Jeff (pilot2250) and from the great morning bite--Nice going Capt. Don-- we are off to fluke.First stop---one of my shallow spots--drift about 1.8-2.2 mph--nada--Head to some deeper water. Drifted the upper bay with nothing for about an hour and a half--Then finally got 1--17 inch on the nose. Was going to hit the spot the morning bite was -but decided not to and hit the shallow again--now .2-.4 mph drift--OK-lets pack it in and check the crab traps. Pulled them and WOW--1--crab.
Talley for the day
1 short fluke
1 crab
Great day on the water with a friend--
