Sunday 6/24 fluke and c-bass report
« on: June 25, 2012, 06:48:07 PM »
Fished out deep to my summer time fluke spots to avoid the weekend warriors. Plan was to try to find deep water fluke and if not to switch to c-bass.. First half hour no fluke but some hungry bass so we switched rigs and put a stomping on the bass. I also had a fluke rod going which was dead sticked half the time and nailed an 8 1/2 lber.  We caught bass up to 4 lbs keeping nothing under 14 inches. We ran out of clams and moved around and picked up 3 more keeper fluke. I also caught a big trigger fish which was a first for me and I also caught a nice long ling cod. By now the wind had turned and lake like conditions went to hell so we headed back to the barn stopping here and there for fluking. We only managed one more and that was in the bay by the ammo pier. Total for the day was 5 fluke, 1 trigger,1 ling and over 30 c-bass. Only a few each of dogs and robins. Can't wait for some trigger fish tonight to go with my steak.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
