Been going a bit stir crazy sitting around and reading reports of bluefish and fluke in the surf.
After running a few errands this morning I stopped by the park for a little bit. Mostly looking to catch some sunshine and salt air. But of course I took a rod outfitted w/ skinny metal and a teaser
What a beautiful day. Warm, nice breeze, calm ocean
A couple casts in a noticed fish playing on the surface. The next couple casts produced some small bluefish, including a doubleheader. As quick as they showed up, they disappeared. But it was relaxing while it lasted.
Watched a pod of dolphin come through and start blitzing on bait within casting distance. They put on a great show for about 15 minutes.
