Yes. It may take some looking, but there is a listing of the abbreviations for the maps. pa=position approximate, s=sand, m=mud, sh=shell, oys=oyster, g=gravel, rk=rocks and so on

 That map is actually a bunch of maps pieced together, which you'll notice while zooming in and out, and the depths will change form feet to fathoms.
