Raritan Bay Fluke and Dogfish
« on: July 02, 2012, 12:01:21 PM »
Left the dock in Keyport for Fluke at 6AM headed straight to Flynn's Knoll.  Very few boats early and immediately got a few keepers.  Headed around the hook and tried a few spots and got nothing but dogfish.  Came back in and tried the channel edges.  Many shorts and many more sharks.

Paused on the FLuke and went looking for some Bluefish.  Lots of bait around but they were un harrassed.

Seems early is the key on Summer weekends.  Bite slowed down considerably once things got crowded.
