Hi Chris,
I haven't been out there recently but this time of year you could catch just about anything. The fluke are just starting their move out of the bays and estuaries toward open waters so the inlet is a good choice for them right now.
The same goes for the weakfish. Lastr week I saw a number of them pulled out off the north jetty. I have heard that there were divers our a couple of weeks ago and they reported numbers of stripers off the jetty's point but can't confirm that.
There is a lot of bait in the wash so long casts are not the norm this time of year. fly fishing is at its best under those conditions.
Ii haven't heard of to many blues caught lately off the surf but I'm sure they are around as long as the bait lingers.
Bait of choice lately has been clams, squid, and red and white poppers.
I hope this helps
Happy Catching
Paul
