Left the dock Sat. morning and headed to the tip on the Hudson Canyon,( run time 4.5 hours)( 18kts. to 20kts.) The area looked good plenty of life, Hundreds of Pilot Whales,Porpoise and Birds. We were marking tons of bait. Set out the troll and ran the edge, a couple of hours into it we were hooked up, we put a nice 80 lb. Yellow Fin in the box. We trolled till dusk, without anymore hits. We setup for a night chumming/chunking and probably about 4 to 5 maybe 6 to 7 hours later we had a fish on. The 3 MEN that were still awake ( yes I was up ) Got a nice White Marlin boat side, we looked at this beautiful fish glow in the water for a minute or so and released. Without taking a picture. I guess we were all a little tired. Once the sun starting to rise we set-up for a morning of trolling. At about 9 AM the Capt. told us pull the lines ( without a hit) so we could get back to the dock at about 1:30.( Total miles for the trip 215 ) Had a great time and the weather was fantastic. As soon as the crew forwards some photos i will post.
