Hudson Canyon Trip
« on: July 14, 2012, 10:17:31 PM »
Joined my nephew on his 46 foot Sport Fisherman for a 24 hour Hudson Canyon trip. Joined his crew, loaded our gear and left the dock Friday at 7pm.Ran South East for 85 N miles into the tip of the Canyon.Ran through the night into SW head winds which made the ride rough. Worked the deep/Canyon for the entire day while we trolled eight poles off the outriggers/stern and managed to land some nice Yellow Tail and Mai Mai.
Back at the dock safely at 7pm Saturday night. Cleaned up the boat, drove home and Honey had a nice dinner waiting for me.Hit the shower and need some sleep.
Although I was unable to sit in the fighting chair, I was able to pass along valuable tips, advice and knowledge to the Young Bloods. It was my pleasure to be with my Brother( we have fished together over forty years) and nephew and my honor to be part of the crew. t^
Hope all had a pleasant day of fishing too.  t^

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
