Raritan Bay Spy house fishing

My Grand Sun and I got there about 9am he limited out with 5-8 inch snappers, they were thick at times chasing very small spearing. Then it got hot and humid, 12pm got hard for me to breath, hit
 MC-ds for him and he slept on the 20 min trip home, maybe crabbing tomorrow Belford area.

That's where I learned to fish over 60 years ago.  The bunker factory was great but now there is a tall metal fence there.  I even have my first cane pole, pretty cool.

the crabbing down belford is not really good yet that is my hood.A  better place is red bank for sure......was down there yesterday 5 crabs in 5 hours some one got.....if you do go use chicken for sure! good luck

5 for 5 red bank or belford. I was at the Public Dock say 1;30 yesterday Rosie had a dozen and another couple had a few dozen, time  5hrug all with trapsI just picked up 3 folding traps at wally world  $8.00 on Rt 36 they wanted $12-$15 basic folding traps, Chicken #1 bunker #2 snappers #5 a combination great, will be back out on Tues. with #1 grand son. for crabs but it will be a evening trip.

Really? i guess their finally moving in there now :headscra:  was there a few days ago :headscra: any way that was belford.....Red bank near the oceanic bridge or the west front st bridge in red bank is hot big crabs! maybe ill see you down there......

they been harvesting then in Red bank for weeks now just the sizes have changed but to many there that matters none. And from my tours of the bay shore that seems to be the norm to keep all crabs no matter what, Fish and game could start in south Amboy to the tip of the hook and give summons out that would support them for a year. Just on Blues over the limit. short fluke. short crabs, but I guess in these hard times their letting it slide.
