8/17 MI Report
« on: August 17, 2012, 06:24:33 PM »
I was solo today  with a few hours to kill so, I decided to go south and look around a little. Right outside the inlet was a nice pod of bunker. I snagged a few for the freezer and headed to the SE rubble on the ACR. The drift was nice and I was far away from the crowd. Since it was more of a trial for me I wanted to stay away from the group and see what I could find on my own. Fishing was slow but  I managed 4 nice keeper biscuits to about 3#, short fluke, and small blue. Wind started blowing and seas began growing and the drift was fast so I moved inshore to the EN but it was too fast and I headed back in. Bunker at the inlet again so I snagged a few more in the 3'ers and then went in.

It was nice to be alone!

Fred, fishing the "Kristy Marie" from Manasquan River Club. Channels 16/67/68.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
