broke the rules today
« on: August 22, 2012, 10:41:31 PM »
Yeah yeah, not "supposed" to be going out yet, but you sit on this damn couch all day.  Can't do it anymore and the bay was dead calm and my boat needs to run.  Puttered my way out of the marina and got to the end of the sailboats and the phone rings.  Looks like Big Al has been playing big brother and saw my truck at the marine.  "You're not supposed to be out there yet" I hear on the other end.  I of course ask if he wants to come and that problem was solved!   rofla

Anyway he had an appointment in a couple hours and I figured that was a sign to keep me close so we headed towards the triangle.  Al snagged a bunch of bunker for his shark/Tuna trip on Friday while I was fluking.  I had no luck at all and Al needed to get back.  Dropped him off and headed back out to the same spot with no more luck.  Moved towards the Earl up the Reach and took a couple more drifts, but the wind woke up out of the east and it got a little snotty.  Figured I pressed my luck enough and it was time to go in.  Met Al at the dock to get him his bait.

Still didn't catch anything, but I have to say that it felt fantastic.  To be honest it was the most pain free day I've had since the surgery which tells me I'm probably more than due for PT.  Especially considering that the last couple days I've been sore as hell doing nothing but sitting on my ass.

Al.... the inventor of the Sea Stooges. LOL

You looked good the other day, Mike. Take it easy though. You don't want to be on the couch longer than is needed.

Sure make me the bad guy. You need a bad guy like me so your wife can point her (censored) finger and say look theres the bad guy.
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

That's a question from a man with experience.  Very sore today but really just sore everywhere, not localized to my neck at all.  I feel pretty good to be honest.
