Well, As I come under the Verrazanos bridge I look around and its boats everywhere.
..Did I miss a memo? I can honestly say I never have seen it so packed, Looked like the Hook on the weekends. I set up on the 23 buoy and there is NO drift, nothing, had to bump the boat most of the morning with no fish to show for it. Decided to skip the Fluke and give the Porgy a shot until the afternoon winds come in. Found them in about 40ft nothing big but enough to keep me busy. Somewhere around 1:00 the wind picked up enough to start pushing me around so I drove to the 21 Buoy drifted slowly back under the bridge and called it a day at 3:00 with 3 keepers in the box. Had a U.S. Solider on board for his first fishing trip and I think he's hooked now....Thanks for reading...
