Sunday 8/26 - Manahawkin Bay - Bridge Report -
« on: August 28, 2012, 12:47:05 PM »
Since the ocean was rough this weekend I decided to take my girl fishing in the bay for a little bit. We anchored near the little bridge and I tossed a clam chum off the side. Hi-Low Rig with 1 oz light tackle. Was planning on using sheddar crabs for some weakies like the last time but as soon as the bait hit the water it was getting chewed up. So I switched to small clam pieces. Small blues, small sea bass(largest 8 inches),spots and blow fish. Was out there for about 2 hours. 11-1pm and managed to land about 15 blues,10 small sea bass, 8 spots and 2 fat blow fish. My girl had a blast with her pink fishing pole. Seeing her love to fish is amazing lol. Def a lucky guy! Been through a few hundred women and not one of them would fish never mind bait their own hook! haha.

Looking forward to fishing Sat, Sun and Mon. Lets hope the water isnt too rough and the wind isnt blowing too hard! Safe Trips Everyone!

Sounds like you have keeper there.    Now you just have to plant the idea that better rods and bigger boats catch more fish!

LoL good catch! Has more than one meaning. It originated one late night in Vegas but totally works in the fishing world too.   rofla  chrz
