Fish Monger Boat Limit 08/30/12
« on: August 31, 2012, 12:42:26 PM »
Another fishing adventure with Kenny on The Fish Monger Thursday.

Couldn't have asked for a more perfect weather day in the late summer, and beautiful seas.

One of the highlights of the day came early in the morning when Kenny's friend Bill hooked into a Cow Nose Ray and managed to rather quickly get it to the boat for the bucktail save, on a light Penn spinning set up.

Also saw a whale go by and saw the fleet watching the deployment of the giant concrete Horse Shoe Crab on the Axel Carlson reef.(Which I read didn't go too well)

On the way in looks like someone had some problems and was beached on Gull Island as you can see from the picture.

Capt. Jerry P worked hard all day to find us fish for a boat limit of 40. I swear that kid must have gills. TT^

I'm thinking that boat may be a good example of properly making sure that weight is distributed evenly.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

If you didn't catch a limit, I would have suspected foul play. ;D  I miss Capt. Jerry's reports and posts on here.  Great job guys. t^
