Labor Day Fluke
« on: September 03, 2007, 06:08:33 PM »
Better get out and fish cause the season is ending soon. Took my 87 yr old dad out and my 18 yr old son. Older son is getting married so he has to stay home.
Picked dad up late but we were fishing by 7:30. First stop was by the Keansburg Pier snuck in by Union beach to get out of the wind. Son picks up a short then Dad cataches a short also. Okay, should do well. Son then catches a 7 lb nice fish then Dad gets a 19 inch. I still don't even have a short yet.
Wind keeps blowing so I stay inside hiding. End of day tally Grandpop 1 keeper 5 shorts,Son 1 keeper 3 shorts Dad 2 keepers 19 inch and a 22 inch and 8 shorts. Back to Keyport to get in under the bridge at 11:30. Nice day fishing brought home dinner. One week to go!! Stinks!!
