Irish Ayes 9-15-2012
« on: September 15, 2012, 03:28:29 PM »
Joe called me and we decided to call off today's trip because the wind was blowing pretty hard w/nw. A couple hours later We had a report that
the wind was not too bad.  We decided to give it a shot and pulled out of Shark River Inlet at 9:30am. Capt.Joe, my dad John,Dave and myself made up the crew.  Well the wind was blowing pretty good but it was not unfishable. We made several drops in various spots as we head north and a bit east.  We had a couple of nibbles but nothing was caught. I did not see any fish caught on any boat in sight. Hopefully someone will post up a more positive report today. t^

Thanks for the ride Capt.Joe it's always a pleasure fishing with you.
I will be out on the Hunter 2 tomorrow, give me a shout VHF 68
   Good Luck,  Eddie t^

Tuff day out there today Eddie. Should have stuck with my original decision to cancel. Oh well, you can't catch em from the sofa.

Was good to meet your dad today. Next time he's in the area give me a call and we'll get him onto some Jersey fish.  t^

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Good seeing you on the water today Eddie t^ You know its bad when you see the party boats moving all around. Was A Big 0 for the wife and I also. A couple other guys from my marina did score a couple fish but they workered their butts off out in the deeper water, with 2 drift socks and 8 ozs of lead.

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
