Pilot - one and done 9/16
« on: September 17, 2012, 02:46:00 AM »
Started off with a little panic searching for the keys but sure enough they were tucked away as promised!  Your a good man Todd t^.  Capt Crazy,  Capy Don jr and the Dog Catcher loaded the ZO with all kinds of goods.  Fratatas for breakfast! Tastee subs for lunch.  We're bringing nautical tailgating to a new level. Nicely done, Oh chef of the future.   The Doggie man did the Philly pretzel run and spiced things up with some of that nose hair dancing horse radish mustard that makes you want to dunk head in an ice bath if you're not ready for it.   Capt Crazy had the beverage department covered and as usual never dissappoints  TT^.     Thanks Don that will go to good use at the home front.

We squared everything away, fueled up and make way to AHM.  Loaded up the live well with the tasty ones on one toss with extra heeping for a pass off to Capt John for his charter.   We target the tip with some shallow water drifts that produced nicely during a short window for the guys this past Frlday.   Our baits got pushed around here and there mostly LRs with an occasional short mixed in.   SHC 6 - 4 very similar action with the sea robins making an all out assault on anything you put in front of them.
We poked a way. Taking a couple of 3-4 lb blues that bleed out nicely for Joe the hippie man.   Legend has it he wears mohair socks.   The guy wastes nothing so we're told and the blues are going to good home.   Never met the man but we can attest to his blackfish fish stock as a culinary extravaganza.    The Doggie put the pins to a nice keeper on this drift taping one out at 21".   He's the man with spot lights on the fluke because that is all we could do today.  Yup!   One and done.  Felt like we were on the down current of a crop dusting on the lazy river at Big Wolf lodge.

Great day nonetheless with a crew second to none.   We'll get em next time t^

Tough day out there.  I was fishing right next to for a while in that tight fleet on the rough stuff.  My buddy landed two keepers in there back to back but that was it.  Saw you taking off towards the mud and was wondering how you did.
