reel time deepwater fluke
« on: September 05, 2007, 08:37:35 PM »
what a day!! capt. mike and I headed out this morning with perfect conditions.
just before we left the creek I took the wheel while mike thru the net and with peanut bunker in the well mike took back the wheel and we ran around 38 mph to find deepwater fluke. found plenty of structure around 14 miles out and mike set the first drift. mike was on fire today taking his limit in fluke along with several throwbacks! I was short man today with around 10 shorts all just missing the mark.

we fished 80'-90' of water using a drift sock and 10oz of lead. water temp was 75 degrees. bait was a strip of squid and peanut bunker.

no skates, no sea robins and 2 very small dogfish.

what a day!! TT^
