Had a few hours to fish this morning so I got up at 4am looked out the window and had about 10' visibity in heavy fog. Decided to wait until about 530 before heading over to the boat, the fog was heavier inland and I was able to push off at 630. Straight to SH channel to arrive at the end of ebb, put an eel down and waited.... as the tide started in I had a few pickups and failed to set the hook, then landed my first short of the fall season a 27" fish. Kept drifting the same area until about 10am when I had a hard stop. I think the bite was starting to pick up as I had two nice hits on my last drift.
Saw Capt. Carl out there today working the same area. I am sure he was doing better than I was.
No fishing tomorrow, going to see the Giants
