Beach Tour from Manasquan to Union beach
« on: November 22, 2012, 10:24:54 PM »
First If have to see it in person to get a sense of the loss that has Happned.  fcp
I started in Manasquan which is Closed yet but to residents only over the bridges.
Sea Girt beaches are open to Fishing  5hrug did not look that inviting.
Spring lake Mostly still closed. but some access is available where I saw one guy fishing see photo he had out of state Plates.
The Lakes had monster pumps working and they are digging them deeper.
Belmar Closed with active patrols to keep people off the ocean ave not much left there. May Head boats were out they headed north.
Avon Bradly Beach had access to the beaches.
Ocean Grove Had access to the beaches with little damage compared to the others, The fishing Pier is heavily damaged The Club House is Gone. as Photo shows.
Asbury Park No access all fenced off. the open fishing beach north end is Open and clear,
Deal no access,  The Deal Casino Beach Club where my son has membership was left in tack where others are Gone,
Long Branch south end Fenced off north end by the Old Hilton has access.
And from there to Sea Bright is a Mess many if not all beach clubs are Gone completely. Sea Bright Center looked like a M.A.S.H unit by the fire house The national guard has a presence there big time with many things for any one in Need.
On up to to Sandy hook mostly destruction big time. The hook is CLOSED. Down and threw the High lands to the Atlantic Highlands is Bad.
The Bay Shore is mostly open with clean up in progress. I have other photos if I get the time or if any interest is given.

Good recap on the destruction caused by Sandy causing limited beach/town access.

Post the other pics if you can.

I will as soon as I reformat them My son used the camera and it was set on the highest resolution.
I do not feel the photos will offend anyone I hope they are not of Homes  fngr.
Forgot to mention I only saw maybe 5 guys fishing the Surf. With not much luck as I learned.
And The Surf was really rough with big rollers causing even dirty-er water then it was.
Saw many Head boats and a few smaller heading back from 11:30 am till 2:30 pm... Shark River or Manasquan  5hrug

Let me add The most participation was On the Jettys at Cliffwood with at least 3 guys on each one.
