Blackfishing Saturday 12/29 Report

Made a last minute decision last night to head out on the Atlantic Star with my son today.  Fishing reports from Friday were not good and the weather forecast was worse.   Capt Tom sailed with about 14 fares and made a few moves before we had a slow pick at mostly short fish with a few keeps here and there.  Rain and wind did not start until about 11am so conditions were not that bad.  My son and I ended the day with 7 shorts between us.  The boat had about 16 keepers when the day was done.

Sounds like a repeat of the NJSWF tog trip w/o Paul-E winning the rod and  msfsh winning a pool.

Any time you can fish with your boy beats catching fish any day!

You were with your boys fishing and having fun! Keepers woulda been a plus but still and all sounded like a nice trip! I have b-days and NYE to deal with first; then I'm going to hit HB or a PC myself..The fish we ate was sooo good I'm excited to hopfully catch, keep, clean and eat them again! But ya gotta get out there to do it! Happy New Year!
