new season worries

Anyone else worried about going out this spring and hitting stuff in the water because of Sandy? Anything can be in the water (boats, picnic tables. etc.)

There is always a risk of hitting something submerged. Grant there is more out there. I plan to just stay in the channels and take it slow. I'm more concerned about what all the dredging is goin to do to barneget bays spring fisheries (ie flounder)

Take it slow until you get the feel of the new land. Channels will be changed from the storm.

wts   We are going to have to be extra cautious this spring.  Plenty of sand was pushed west from the storm.  From what I can visually see from shore, the water closer to the shoreline is going to be much shallower than last season. After a couple weeks of trips we should have a good idea of where changes have occurred.
