Looking good Chris...Must of had a good instructor...

I have been tying a few new patterns I have to put up.  I am using a 5 min epoxy and it has been working out great for the wrappings.

Jason don't forget when weighting them to dress them first , atleast on the prodo. Because the hooks ,swivels, snap rings etc. Will add weight to the plug and sometimes cause them to swim funny. When I'm doing divers I put the weight from the eye up, pencils I don't weight at all a little hard to cast but the action is nuts, and poppers are usually weighted at the thickest part of the belly. Also I don't use pre made weights ill drill the hole( make sure a dowel will fit tight in it) then I drop a piece of lead free solder in the hole and melt it with a soldering gun so it doesn't move around. After it cools. I glue a dowel in the hole cut it and sand it to your profile. This way you don't have to use a filler and you will have a perfectly smooth finish. I have some painting tips for you also if your interested
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Keep it going guys and maybe we can turn this into a forum of its own.  Not just plugs but rigs, jigs, flies and teasers.  Sort of the to do's of making your own tackle.

I can remember as a kid we use to make lures out of old broom handles.  don't knock it till you tried it.  Surprisingly they worked...

Happy Catching

Paul
