Water is too damn cold for the stripers to go chasing the bunker around.

And we had 70-80 degree air temps last year at this time. No need to rush things, they will be there in due time.  t^

I think we all need a little reassurances right now.  Many of my friends that have B&T's are still not sure when they will be opening, all except one right now, well maybe 2.  As a surf fisherman I would like to think by mothers day the blues will be running out the inlets and the stripers will be in the back bays latching onto anything you throw at them

Right now there is only a small section open all up and down the coast that is fishable by beach buggie.  That would be on IBSP from Gillkins to bathing beach 1.  I have heard rumors that there have been stripers caught at night but that is only rumors. I have not seen any weighed in yet.

It is very depressing especially those of us that are here on the shore just waiting for something to break.  I know its early but, something is better than nothing.  Once this rain and snow stops I will be getting the kayaks ready for the season but I still have to work on getting the new shed ready and building a pole barn to keep the kayaks and gear in.  Sigh, it seems like things will never get done.

Sorry for rambling but it has been one of those days.

Happy Catching

Can't be soon enough for me. After bottom fishing all winter, I want to see something with stripes.
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><
