Warinanco Park Pond 4-28-13

Planned on striper fishing this morning but since I over slept the tide and was still itching to do some fishing, back to the pond I went. Took me forever to find parking. Seems like everyone and their mother was out there today enjoying the weather. I brought my heavier rod and planned on live lining some sunfish for hopefully big bass or large catfish. Caught my fair share of green sunfish (big and little) and bullheads (little). Nothing seemed to want to take the live lined green sunfish. One cool thing that did happen today was that I caught the same green sunfish twice, about an hour apart. First while I was unhooking it, it started thrashing around a lot and ripped a hole in its mouth with the hook. I released it and it swam off. An hour later I catch another green sunfish. This fish had the hook in the right side of its mouth and a hole on the left, same as the fish an hour earlier. Pretty cool.

Read some place that average fish has a memory span of 5 seconds .Can't say I believe it 100% ,but times like this ,it seems so .
