We headed out Friday afternoon and couldn't get much going, only enticed a few strikes and getting 1 fish in the boat, however I did watch as the water temp came up 2 degree’s in a few hours and decided to stick it out till 9:30 trying to get something going but not much came of it. We marked fish steadily the whole time, and gave me a good feeling that it was not going to be long until we were seeing excellent fishing.
After seeing the temps rise as they did on Friday I had high hopes for Saturday, (We had some crew working on another local boat as well) we had to work hard to find the fish that were hungry. Again we were seeing good marks all day and had to put our time in. We ended with a few good Bass (a couple firsts for some ladies), and a blue to show for our efforts.
Sunday was a new day!!! We headed to the spot that we had been working the past 2 days and decided to go for them at first light. Bingo, we got 1 in on the first pass. The rest of the day we had a good pick and had a blast!!!
All in all the fishing became progressively better each day and is starting to heat up. it seemed as though we were seeing slightly more marks and a higher concentration on fish each day.
We still have plenty of openings for this Bass season, as well as our “After Work” trips. So please give me a call to book your trip, the fishing has already opened up and is only going to get better.
