5/3/13 Sandy Hook Stripers......solid day!

Headed out a little late today  with the hard east wind and the outgoing tide. Set up around 8:30  sitting side too  the swells and a little bouncy. Not much action until the tide slowed to a crawl...few shorts and a couple of keepers. At slack we had a little blitz with all rods doubled over but the guys couldnt get any of those fish to the boat. When the tide started running again we had our best action boating the rest of our limit and releasing a few fish qhen the guys decided they had enough  weather for the day. Back at dock by 12:30.
No camera today as i was recoving from the flu and chills  all night and and just didnt feel it today. Sorry!
Baxk out on doubles all weekwnd so i will get some pics!

Forgot to mention....we also caught a couple nice winter flounder and our first keeper size fluke at 20 inches which was released
