BL, 18th afternoon trip
« on: May 18, 2013, 09:56:01 PM »
Broke the inlet around 1400, motored to 60'ish foot of water and dropped a pair of spoons down, white and yellow.

Trolled to the bathing beaches with no hits, little in the way of bait or activity. Pulled the spoons in and motored to seaside area with alot more bait to be found. Live lined, jigged and popped off the schools with no takers, so out with the spoons again.

Trolled around here and there staying around 60' with nothing to show for it. At one point there was multiple top water explosions 150' off the bow, couldn't get there in time,, everything disbursed by the time we got there,,,, damn those bunker can move quick when somethings chomping on their a$$es.

Packed it in early so we could have time to stop on bait on the way back in,,, which didn't happen.

What appeared to be a perfect striper day was not so good for the catching part. Conditions where very good, nice sea's, gentle wind, overcast and raining the whole time. O'well, maybe next week.
