SeaChelle's new Mahi Slayer
« on: July 21, 2013, 08:08:25 PM »
Picked up a shimano spheros 5000fb for SeaChelle that we put onto a tsunami 6'6"mh rod that Hotrod was nice enough to donate.

Shimano claims 22lbs of max drag, we'll set it at 10lb and drop it if need be for her comfort.

Holds 239 yards of 30lb PP with a 8' topshot of 40lb seaguar flouro tipped with a 1oz crazy chartreuse spro.

And yes, the reel seat nut is taped. All the rods in my arsenal are done up with hockey tape to prevent that untimely looseness of the reel.

We will be stopping at darn near everything we see thats afloat.

All your tuna's are belong to me

My 6000 spheros that I got used from Mark has become my go-to spinner lately.

Problem free, nice drag adjustment.

Good luck w/it.
