Landing net preference
« on: June 19, 2013, 03:49:42 PM »
I am in the market for a new net. There are like 3 different shapes. Pear, round and the scooper type which has a straight front that is sort of offset. Scooper I think is the proper name. That would seem like the best especially if you fish alone. Any opinions greatly appreciated.  5hrug

I like Ranger nets. The handle slides inside the net for easy storage.  It's big maybe 26" round but kind of flat towards the tip.  I have one that the handle extends an extra for or 5 feet. This is helpful for fishing alone or when you have long leaders.
