Barnegat area 23June
« on: June 23, 2013, 03:43:48 PM »
Stuck to the plan today and hit up BL reef first thing.

Hit the South east corner for a bunch of throw back fluke, two keeper sea bass, a ling, and winter flounder.

Drift picked up and tried off the cg station for some shallower water with no results, so moved inside.

First drift out front of key harbor and DoorMatt nails a nice 20"er. Got a 15'er at the same time and that was it,,, one hit wonder drift.

Gonna try for some after work trips this week, should be able to get him hooked to fishing with just a couple more nice fish.

Water in the bay was very green, and seemed pretty clear out on the reef,, I think,,, can't remember if it was today or yesterday I was thinking how clean it was  :headscra:

Tried a little north of there with zero results and snot grass, moved to the 40 can and picked up shorts, called a day on a quick trip.

Will be out tues through Friday for some quick trips. Wouldn't mind hitting a few wrecks if anyone is off and wants to take a ride.
